Château de Fieuzal Château de Fieuzal, a very acient growth in Léognan is recognized as one of the gems of this great wine area; The Graves craddle of the Gironde vineyards.

One of the most valued Growth of the Graves, Château de Fieuzal, stems from the talent exerted along 3 centuries by winegrowers in love with their trade on an exceptional soil. The name formely used for the estate was Gardères.
The Fieuzal family, who owned the Château until 1851, left their name to the vineyard. At that time, the vineyard comprised both Fieuzal and Haut-Gardère. Succeeding the Fieuzal family, the Griffon brothers bought and shared the estate. One of them, the owner of the Château Haut-Gardère was the Consul of the Pope in Bordeaux. Through him, the Vatican knew how to appreciate the qualities of Graves wines.
