The magic of a soil
On the right bank of a brook named Eau Blanche (white waters) lies one of the beautiful gravelly "croupes" (mounds) within the Pessac-Léognan appelation. There lie the vineyards of Château de Fieuzal and Château Haut Gardère. White gravels from the Villafranchien era greatly contribute to the quality of those poor and very filtering soils, particulary favourable to the production of great wines.
Priority to the vineyard
All the care brought to tending the vineyard (plantation and overall work) has no other aim than growing optimal quality grapes, an indispensable condition to the making of a great cru. Respect of the environment is the key word in tending the vineyard, as traditional techniques are cried out. Every effort is combined with the will to lead the grapes to the maximum of their potential, be it quality and tipicity.
